Sri Lankan Paper Accuses NDP Candidate of Extremism

Don’t know quite what to make of this.  The source is a Sri Lankan Newspaper (The Sunday Leader); the guy in the picture does look like Neethan Shan, and he is definitely standing in front of a Tamil Tiger flag.  On the other hand, some of these Lankan papers through around their accusations pretty lightly.

To point out, the headline behind him probably says "Les Symboles Internationale des Tamouls," probably some sort of Tamil community event, so it could be completely innocent.

But these allegations are pretty damn serious, and according to that article the Liberals may have known something about something (in regards to the green-light committee not passing him in 2007), so you would think the NDP would too. Very curious, but you have to consider the source.

I misread that banner a bit, the word ends in "-aux" - I can't remember if in French "internationale" or "nationale" can have that suffix. However, I don't think it proves much either way.
